BOARD OF DIRECTORS
President: Shannon Rush was born and raised in the Kansas City area. She grew up at Faith Lutheran Church in Prairie Village and is now a member of Holy Cross Lutheran in Overland Park. Shannon graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School and then went to Pittsburg State University where she graduated with a degree in accounting. She works at Huhtamaki (the makers of Chinet) and works in the finance department as a payroll administrator supporting approximately 900 employees.

Vice-President & Grant Review Committee Chair: Vivian Strand is a creative, graphic design professional with more than 30 years’ extensive experience in the areas of design and communications. Vivian looks forward to carrying on her father’s vision and strengthening the Foundation so that it can help those in need far into the future.

Treasurer & Investment Committee Chair: Laura Robertson earned a Finance degree at the University of Kansas. She currently worships at Holy Cross and serves on the Stewardship committee and teaches first grade on Sunday mornings. Growing up, she attended Faith Lutheran Church and is thrilled to aid in the Faith Foundation’s mission to positively impact the community.

Secretary & Gifts & Membership Chair: Ingrid Wong serves as in-house counsel for a local banking institution. Ingrid is humbled to have to the opportunity to continue her grandfather’s mission of helping others. In her free time, Ingrid enjoys spending time her fiancé (Michael) and favorite furry friend (Rudy).

Kelly Grooms has been giving back to her community for over 15 years as a volunteer. She not only volunteers for several organizations but she is on the planning committees of several events throughout the year. This led her to her career as the Volunteer Program Specialist in the Resource Development department at the non-profit organization The Whole Person. The Whole Person connects people with disabilities to the resources they need by supporting independent choice and advocating for positive change in the community. Kelly looks forward to broadening her vision of helping others and giving back more to her community.

Kathy Sheldon is a University of Kansas School of Journalism graduate with 30 years’ experience in writing, editing, publishing, online content development, strategy and marketing. She will use her skills to help the foundation engage with donors and the community via the Foundation website and social media.
